i wonder if any of you can help.
iv got a 1991 zxr400 restricted and having serious headache problems
the bike starts well but after a couple of miles on the road,lights go out then stalls.
its as though the battery completely flat but is the second brand new battery fitted.any help please

sounds like your regulator to me, had the same problem on another bike i had, fully charge then two miles down the road it all dies, was quite funny when i put the indicator on and the bike would fire up and die in synch with the indicator!

If you can, get a multimeter and check the voltage across the battery terminals, i believe there should be a certain voltage across them while the engine is running. That should pretty much confirm your rectifier/regulator has gone.
