wet alarm

well put a new alarm under my seat and somehow water got to it n now it wont work, i spreyed wd40, some 1 help.

does the manual say its waterproof? If it does then take it back mate.

Otherwise theres untold damage when something elecronic has gotten wet :(

hmm.. sounds fun. I'd dry it out completely before playing with it.. I'll remember that under the seat gets wet for when the datatool goes in.

ok found out 2day its not the alarm its the connection of the alarm on the battery, tightened the screw today and it worked now its not working again, so 2moz gonna check it out.thx

It seems the alarm is just malfunctioning, went to see if it was working this morning and there is no power at all, wont even tick over none of the lights come on or anything??? sounds like amin fuse any1 know where its located\//

ok the fuse doesnt look like it has blown?/ doesnt even click.

seems the battery which i just bought 1 month ago is dead as i put my old dead battery in and the dash lights came on. if i charge the battery up will it work as its pretty new or will i have to buy a new 1 again.

just charge it up mate, had the same with mine, bought it a month ago and never got round to fitting it charged it up overnight and its as new now.

I think u missunderstood me, the battery i bought a month ago has been on the bike and the alarm has killed it will it still be chargeable.

alarms are well known for discharging batteries, you battery should have a 12 month guarantee at least so whatever kills it it should be able to charge back to its full capacity, most batteries will last at least 3 years before they lose their ability to recharge so you should be fine unless the battery is faulty.
