Hit thwe pass light - hear the relay but nothing out of the lights.
also the high beam indicator light on the dash dont come on when
switched to high beam position....

Got volts at the fuse in the JB.

Had the switch gear apart and wd40'd it to hell....

if you have 12v at the business end of the fuse but not the bulb end that indicates a wiring fault.

Thanks for the replies. thats what I thought but I dont know the routing of the wires and where to isolate first...

checked the voltage at the bulb connector, nothing for high beam, checked fuse is ok, have checked voltage to the fusebox...ok, checked voltage to the relay....ok, checked continuity from the relay to the bulb connector.......ok, so methinks the headlight relay is shot!

have checked the switch and its working perfectly, so is the relay (as its new) voltages on all wires as they should be except from the switch to the headlights so looks like i'm gonna have to attack the loom.

depending how its wired then yes, blown indicator could prevent headlights from working.

but surely the the high beam indicator light is just a spur off the main beam wiring?
