took the seat off of my bike to remove the battery today - accoridng to the H model manual the relay for the indicators is located between the battery and junction box - but theres nothing there on my bike !

any ideas where it may be its a 1990 model

i cant see anything at all, it must have had one, as it was working fine - but its not where it should be! well not according to the manual.

switch the indicators on and follow the ticking sound.

i dont have a ticking noise - the relay went on me and just puts the lights on solid now, no flashing or ticking

actually - just a thought - but could the fact that my battery was knackere (putting out about 12.2v) be the reason that the indicators have stopped flashing - and that its not a dodgy relay ?

ordered a new battery last thu and it still hasn''t arrived, despite paying £10 for next day delivery !

well me an baz tried is relay - nowt !

still the same, lights are just on solid, when the indicator goes on

mine was shagged as didnt work on baz's - his spare did - tried it on mine, and although it didnt keep make the indicators flash again it did at least make a click sound / vibrate

they are aftermarket LED indicators - anyone got any ideas ????

I know it was working before hand but as resistors cost pence, it could tun out to be a cheap fix?

so basically i need to follow all of the wires, and find some form of after market block ? you'll have to excuse me, my electrical kowlege is very limited !

All you need to do is add in a resistor or two in series with the LED. Which is basically, disconnect one wire, solder on a resistor to fill the disconnection, and then cover with heat shrink wrap. Baz should be able to help you do that if he's willing.

got these indicators on my zxr750 that i picked up yesterday, havent noticed if they flash or not, will have a look later then maybe we can look at dorting yours Reds.

when i stuck some aftermarket indicators on my zxr i just fitted a universal flasher unit and they worked fine. Had LED's on the front and mini's on the back which got changed to standard TL1000 ones when minis got a lot wet

picked up a cheap generic led 2 pin flasher relay from ebay - worked a treat !

plugged it in, and their all working again.

very odd as for 2/3 months they were just running off of the standard relay
