Has anyone ever fitteda different rear end on the zxr then? Im about to buy a Zxr but id like to find out the different possibilities of fittin a nice rear end like a R6 kinda shape thing. Anyone ever found different rear ends to put on?

1999 R1 rear end fits well.

isn't that what used to be on your gixxer? is it just some sort of universal tail unit?

its a very popular seat unit, i bought an R1 rear plastics when i had my 400 i offered it upto the zxr subframe and you could have bolted it straight on.

I doubt it would go straight on a H model, as the L and H models have different sub frames.

hmmmmm, bugger, best get sourcing some information instead then. Just want a good looking back end on it when i get it.

Try to go with something thats in keeping with the rest of the bike, take this for example



Its a ZXR750 but near enough. Rear end as a Blade and looks bloody awful if you ask me.

i think the actual tail unit looks ok, just the gaping holes where it doesn't join up with the frame give it away.

That 750 ^ is wrong, wrong, wrong! Whats the point of increasing the wheelbase like that?
