New panels ready for final coat!!

Finally managed to get the faring panels finished ready for the final laquar stage. Amazing what you can do with a tin of spray paint in your garden. The panels go in tommorrow for the professional laquar finish so that should cover up any small mistakes in the painting.

The panels are rubbed down ready so look a bit dull at the moment. Can't wait to get the bike back on the road!!!

Anybody else think I wnet over the top on the fairing stickers :smt003

It took about 4 cans of primer as I didn't take all the panels back to the metal or plastic. The black took 5 cans of matt black 500ml cans from halfords. The green took 9 cans. All the paint cost about £100 pounds. It's not cheap to buy at roughly £6 a can but still cheaper than a garage. I had a friend do the final laquer using pro stuff which cost £35 for the laquer and hardner and a crate of bitter for the work :smt001

It's nice to be able to say I did the paint myself when people ask aswell :smt001
