Hi all im having serious trouble getting a set of fairings for my 1989 zxr 400 H
has any body purchased a set of the aftermarket ones on e bay from china and if so did they fit.
next if they dont fit will i be able to make them fit with a hammer, chainsaw and some double sided sticky tape.
The only other option seems to be a outfit called skidmarx who make fiberglass road fairings but the ones from china come painted and decaled for 200 notes plus 100 delivery. this would be handy.
i dont know where else to go my bike looks like s***t and im running out of options any help would be greatly appreciated

I think the ones on ebay are for the L model, the quality is an unknown factor too. You could get them to fit the H model but i imagine its alot of jiggery pokery and bracket making.

i got a set of fibreglass ones from skidmarx\- made the bike look a hell of a lot better; I got them made up in green and I haven't bothered painting them. Couple of comments on them tho; they are quite thin, and the fit on them isn't great. But you can make them fit quite well if you dont mind making holes a bit larger etc.
You may get stung with import duty on the ones from China......

They do do chinese H fairing, i wouldn't use it though tbh.
Don't know if anyone has got them on a ZXR here, but i have heard of people buying VFR fairing on ebay from China, the general opinion is that they don't fit well atall + they're made out of cheese (and you still have to drill the wholes).
I assume you mean these.

have you considered getting a track fairing and cutting holes for the lights? would be fairly easy for the H would have thought as they are just round holes on the front, and square at the back.

good point. I was up there (fallsoffslowly's) a week or so ago and I'm fairly sure he had a set of H model plastics. was certainly breaking an H at the time.
