Removing standard can

Post by Evil_me99 »

Can anybody tell me how you remove the standard can off the H2?
I cant see any bolt holes etc, all i can see is sum rivets. Do i need to drill them out?

sry, this might be a stupid reply, as i dont have any experince with the H model. But, have you tried just slipping the can off? it could be a slip on... if not then I have no idea, as your picture shows its got no bolt from the pipe work onto the can, only the rivits, but then if it was rivitted on then thats a bit daft..... sry if this is of no help....

That cover should be held on with a 6mm allen bolt, remove that and there's 3 13mm nuts underneath holding the can on

There is a point, just undo it at the headers, it means the whole thing will come off .

Might have to do that, but they arent that expensive as far as i know. If you cant get the can off you got no choice anyway but to replace the whole thing. Depends how bothered you are i guess, but have a go at removing that cover, strange how its such a pig to get off, thats the first ZXR ive seen with one tho.

On mine there were 2 torx bits holding the cover on with the bolts under the cover.

If not...
