techinical help needed

hey all im looking into different exhaust exhausts (ive got a new tig welder- playtime! 
). making them doesnt seem too much of a problem but i was thinking about how performance will be affected. at the minute ive got a micron 4-2-1 system but i was thinking about a twin pipe system like a tl1000, or a 4-2-1 high level system.
can somone tell me how engine performance would be affected with regards to back pressure, pipe lenght ect ? cheers peeps.
