Manifold stud size??

Ok so I have snapped off 2 of my exhaust manifold studs and have decided to replace them all with stainless ones.

After what seems like hours of reading microfiches and manuals, searching the internet and reading posts all I know is that the nut is m6 but could somebody please tell me what size the thread is that screws into the head

I've found m8 studs with m6 nuts and I'm hoping they will fit but don't want to order them till I'm certain.
Thanks for any help

I just cut some stainless bolts and put them in with thread lock, the thread that goes into the head is m6, or do you want to know the length?

I've ordered 200mm of m6 rod and nuts/washers so hopefully should do the trick

200mm = 20cm, 8 studs, 2 per cylinder, makes 2.5cm for each bolt, by the time you screw it in to the head that wont be anywhere near long enough, i'll pull one of my bolts out and see how long they are for you
