Hey guys im looking at replacing my micron slipon for another exhaust but as i had trouble getting the can off today to measure it (the bolt has become stuck so waiting for the good old WD40 to free it off ;)

Ive heard 62mm, 65mm and 67mm, are there a few with different diameters?

micron's micron .. all one and the same.. just depends exactly what you're measuring .. ID, OD etc etc ..

if i find the time i'll measure up my spare system for ya.

inside diameter of the can inlet measures as 64mm

Lmao well if u can guarantee me mine will be 64mm then i will have no need to :)

However i dnt want to make a mistake and be stuck with a piece that wont fit on :(

If i dont need to go measure it i'd love not too as my garage is freezing also and the neighbours will complain if i start the generator at this time of night, plus i'd have finished the job b4 the heater heated the garage. :(

lol, was only joking .. do whatever ..

ive had 4 micron systems over the years (one of which i even bought new) and they are all the same.. measurements may be off by 1mm or so because they arent made that accurately.. i think this is why everything from 62 - 67 gets quoted depending on whether people are measuring the link pipe or the can ..

Or have a nice guy called toby fabricate me an adaptor so i can have a bolt on can ;)

Need to think outside the box (or shud i say saw)

That way the end can is preserved for M.O.T time when i need a road legal exhaust :)

there is a baffle in the link pipe to mate... i think you have to cut them out and get it welded back up.. mine was already done so am not sure, i think zimm did his before he got a beet??

well, you dont have too :smt003
in fact you will need to alter the fueling if you do this, so it may not be what your after. But this is what you need to do to get some power out of the system. Im not sure how you get it out, i presume it needs to be cut out.
