Loudest end can?

Post by saka_ZXR »

Im after a proper loud can for my zxr, which can is the loudest? I have a 64mm (on the inside) slip on micron can fitted at the moment.

Doesn't matter if its not road legal.

Even if its not for the zxr400 but fits a 64mm slip on link pipe.
If it's broke spray it with WD40, if it's still broke spray it again and leave it over night, if it's still broke, bin it.

you will lose power taking the end can off so adviseable to get it dyno'd and setup for it.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

But it would be perfectly safe for me to just take the end can off and use the bike without any damage being done?

Gonna see how loud it is first as it may be too loud.

If i like the sound i'll get it set up however i do like a good looking can :D

Get something like a micron oval, which are reasonably loud anyway, then chop it, sounds like rolling thunder!! lol

Well I've currently got a round micron on mine how do u chop it? Just cut a section out n weld it back togther? I'd have to get sumone else to do it like cuz I'd balls it up.

i chopped down my scorpion after i came off my bike it scraped all the edge of the titanium so i drilled the rivits out took it apart and with a pair of tin snips cut around 4inchs off, i also rem, oved some of the wadding and now it looks better and sounds awsome. especially when nailing it and just shut off and let the revs drop it pops and bangs and occasionally licks flames,

How would i go about chopping a micron oval? lol Its no riveted at the front...Would i need to weld it back together?
Including the bit that bolts to the exhaust hanger? As that is riveted onto the part i would need to chop...
