As I have only had my new track bike for a few days, I haven't had the opportunity to take it out and get it up to its top speed. I therefore do not know if it is restricted. How do I check / what should I look for? Anyone have any pictures to show me what to look out for?

Well, the article on the limiter may have answered the question, as my bike does not have a speedo, only a tacho! Do you think that my bike is 'immune' from this because it has no speedo?

To be honest i would have thought it wouldnt be restricted because the guy who had it before you would have raced it so why would he want it restricted. just food for thought

That was my assumption too Superman. Unfortunately, I have been unable to put it to the test. I was just hoping there was a nice, quick way of checking

I suppose I will just have to wait until next Wednesday, when I take it on the track. My other problem is the track I am going to doesn't have a very long straight, so I may not be able to get up to the 180-200km/h speeds I need for the test

how about take it to a nice quiet straight bit of road?

Aint these bikes restricted by the clocks in most cases anyway and because you aint got no clocks you shouldnt have a problem, besides i recon you will have a fun time findin out

You could take the clocks off but i do believe theres something in the CDI that kicks in, itll know if its been disconnected or not im sure of that.

Well, I am going to try very hard to find out
