Hi All

My bike is currently restricted with a 33bhp kit.
I am now ready to remove it, can anyone offer advice on doing this at home?
I understand I need to take off the petrol tank & air box but do I also need to remove all the fairings, etc? Are there any short cuts, ie moving the tank out the way so I dont need to disconnect the fuel lines?
If someone could do a step by step guid on this I would be most gratefull!
Thanks in advance.

hello stuart, you got most of it right. You will find the restrictor plates in between the carbs and engine block. so

remove the petrol tank

remove the air box

loosen off the clips where the carbs fit onto the inlet rubbers

pull the carbs off (go easy here, you dont wanna go flying :smt003 )

you should then see silver plates when you look down the inlet rubbers with small holes in them.

All you need to do is undo the allen bolts holding on the inlet rubber either side of them till them come off, the plates should them come off with them.

repeat the last step for the remaining 3 inlets and assembly is reverse of dissassembly. You dont need to put any gasket stuff on just put the rubbers back in place and do up the allen bolts.

Hope that gets you on your way. More info on taking the tank and airbox off here:
