ive heard the zxr400L has a restrictor to do with the revs speado, i dont know what.
i have taken my speado of as my zxr is going to be for the track, its a 1991 import.
do i need to do anything?
can someone explain this all for me?

imports need the speedo connected or a uk cdi/derestiction box fitting.

So does this mean i could i fit the UK spec CDI and leave the speedo connected and it will still be de-restricted?

yes, uk spec cdi ignores speedo input.

hello mate.
its does'nt matter about the speedometer, you will still need a derestictor.
an 'mmax' box, or a uk cdi unit.
I use an mmax box with my racebike, an import like yours, no speedo, no problems.
Im not sure where you can get them from to be honest

how would i know if i got one.

i ask this because i had a vfr400 with a patten deristrictor and when someone gave me the hrc one, it was the same.

my point being that this bike is a 91, i dont want to waste the money if its already there.
i suppose i will find out on the track!
