I have a racing ZXR400L, the previous owner butchered the loom, while maintaining bike I pulled a wire out of , I believe, the cdi box – it was one of three wires coming from a match box sized black plastic box – all wires are red – the other two go to positive and negative of battery. Is this the derestricter box? The revs are lower now I have accidently pulled this wire out. Does any one know what terminal this wire should be attached to in the igniter box?

Here is some picts the two connected wires are 12 volt = &-
the green/red wire is the one pulled out when changing rear sub frame, me and my pigs tits for fingers

reading on other threads about these derestrictor boxes you need to find out the circuitry from the clocks to the cdi, there are wiring diagrams on this forum that might help you, i'll go have a look.

There seems to be a diference between the manual wiring diag for 400r and this one shown in picture.
Any ideas

the wiring diagram above is one drawn by a member here, possibly a minimal loom suitable for racing?
there are others
hereincluding the sp loom, i would imagine the derestrictor sends the continous signal to the cdi box? so this is the point you need to find
i'll copy this thread to "having problems" you might get more feedback.
