Starting Problems
I have a ZXR400 L3, my bike has been in the shed over the winter and not been ridden or started, anyway decided to go back out on the road and had an MOT done. At this point the bike started fine but after about 15 miles the bike stopped due to a drained battery, I tried the ride again with no lights and all ok, when I put the lights on again the battery was again drained. I went to work the other morning and accidentely left the parking light on and the battery was drained, my husband couldn't jump start it and when we tried to jump start from a van it would not ignite, we assumed not enough charge in the battery do left the optimate on overnight and tried again and still not starting, the engine is turning over but not igniting, any suggestions?

Re: Starting Problems
sounds like a dead charging circuit
electrical system is covered in the manual here
http://www.zxrworld.co.uk/Manuals/L%20M ... r%2015.pdf
probably a dead regulator/rectifier or a loose/corroded connection due to standing
clean the plugs too, they're really easy to foul up on these if its been spun over a lot and not fired.
