Right I'm picking up my bike on Saturday but the lad I'm getting it off says it's overheating??
The first thing that stings to mind is the head gasket... But then I thought may e it could be the waterpump or the thermostat? He has the fan set on a switch (fuse) so he could get the bike home...
I'm new to bikes so all help is very much appreciated.
Newbie... Overheating problems?? Help please.

yes your right it could be either of the 3........requires some investigating once you have got the bike home.
water pump and thermostat are easy enough to check.

had this recently with my beauty
Also check the radiator
The ZXR 400 I bought, the radiator had been a lost cause for what must have been months, just exploded water out of it
Failing that, also check all the piping that it has been attached properly
I was going along after replacing the rad, overheated, pulled over and had a look, a pipe had not been connected where it should have been (the UK Spec one on the lower left pipe from the rad) and that just drain ALL my coolant out
sorted that, filled her up
Not had a problem with it since

<Cargo mode on> I'm sure this will be a great help to the OP given that he posted up about the issues he was having a full year ago <Cargo mode off>MAR5H7 wrote:had this recently with my beauty
