how can i test the stick coils?

basically, I did this mod,(very easy to do). Before i did the mod, bike ran fine. After, bike ran even better. However, when i let the bike warm up (i.e. standing at traffic lights) to the point the fan comes on, she doesn't want to idle steadily. Blip the throttle or leave and she dies. Then she won't restart until cooled down a tad. Now i know this could be caused by tappets needing adjustment, but it didn't do it before the mod. This could also be caused by a coil breaking down through overheating. Obviously there are four now, how do i go about testing them?

I would say you test them in the same way you test the plugs, but best do it when the engine is hot? See what kind of sparks you are getting. Also, you can test them with a multimeter, you will need the specs for the coil of course and once again best do it when they are hot.
