Have you had a look at/changed the starter solenoid/relay? If that's where the click is coming from (left hand side as you sit on the bike, just behind your leg) that would be the first place I'd look. Check the battery too, too low a charge will result in poor starting.

it is the starter solenoid that goes pop (i would say the fuse but the fuse never blows)
then the dash lights go out and nothing happens, not even the alarm will turn on or off....
should i replace them both and see what happens?

my post earlier was stupid lol

try again....

Hey guys,
some times when i come to start my bike
i put my key in and turn the iggy on and the dash lights come up etc,
i press the starter, theres a click under my seat and then the lights go out and the bike is dead...
i turn off the iggy and after about 2-3 mins when i turn the iggy back on again the lights come up...
then i press the starter and it either clicks dead again or it starts like a toad! lol

hopefully that will be more specific.... its only now and then and sumtimes it starts first times, sumtimes second time sumtimes 5th/6th time....

Hi

We had this problem & it was a loose battery connection.
