ok i didnt do a search before i posted this so sorry if its a repeat lol
the return cable is toad! and after replacing it with an equally toad one i was wondering if its actually needed?
if i disconnect it from the carbs the spring on the carbs closes the throttle perfectly, soon as i reconnect it its a pig! its also easier to open without.
do i really need it? or can i survive with only the one cable?

I've never really understood what the closing cable if for
If for some reason the carbs get jammed open how will having a closing cable help ? ?
if its jammed its jammed
Seems to me that it would make more sense to flick the kill switch with your thumb and stop the engine.................I've done it once...............still crashed LOL
Stary bit of foam stuck in one carb on my CBR
Bar that one time I've raced with just the one cable with no problems for years

My open cable snapped the other day in lakeside :/ was not amused with a 20 mile ride home to go
Opened her up and pulled both open and close cable out, took the part on the open cable off and put it on the close and now running that
not had a problem, have questioned what the close cable was for, the only thing I can think of its use is to stop the throttle grip rolling around the other way

Thats about its use lol
