Fuel Or Electrical

Well my L9 is having a starting problem now.It has to be cranked for like 2 mins continuously, and after that it revs up.Also the bike jerks at around 3000-4000 RPM as if there was no fuel.What do u think can be main problem -----the fuel system or the electrical system..Please Help..

sounds like fuel to me. are u running an inline fuel filter in between tank and carbs?

when did these symptoms start?

yeah... i've an inline filter between the tank and the carbs...why do you think there's a problem with the fuel system.the fuel pump is delivering the right pressure, all the 4 carbs have been balanced, and the filter is clean.Still not able to understand what the problem is. Do u think may the the problem lies in the coil......

cos you said it jerking around as if there was no fuel :smt017 so there is definitely fuel getting to the carbs then? have you changed the plugs?? me and Gem love these firing up problems don't we Gem?

Have you checked your float heights?

I had problems with the bike jerking around a bit and reset all the floats and it sorted it.

Might be worth checking.
