I have just got my bike back and fitted my race can. Problem is its having trouble starting. Is this Can related? or is something else. It has been kept in a garage.

The bike is just turning over, it starts eventually. But thats with10 minutes of trying, and wehn the battery is dying.

Any ideas?

Doubt the can has anything to do with, im sure they would have more effect on the bike when your riding it rather than getting it started. Whats it like when you ride it?

i know it sounds daft but are u almost outta fuel? the change of can will have no real inherent effect tbh. maybe the fuel filter?

i had a similar problem wen i got it back from the mech. turned out after days of investingation, that the HT leads weren't in properly in the coils so weren't making a good contact, so only 2 of 4 plug were sparking, so it was near impossible to start, but nearly alwasy jump started or bump started. i made a jig to test that the spark can jump the recommended 7mm, aybe u shouldtry it. a blok of wood, 4 holes cut in, 8 screws n a copper (earth wire). works a treat
