Due to the amount of recent posts about hot starting, robB had a good idea that we should list here who has hot starting problems and who doesn't, everyone can join in so we can try and see some sort of pattern.
Please list

Model & year
Air filter Std or other
type & manufacturer of spark plugs
Jet size or carb mods if any
Exhaust system
anything else which may contribute

if we all list in the same manner it will be easier to sort.

L3 1993
stock filter,
NGK cr9e
stock setup and jetting
standard exhaust system
33,000 miles / 444bore
carb heaters

random hot starting problems aswell as lots of other problems with my lemon. [edit/update>>] since new coils, no more problems starting warm, but when hot it either needs, a few quick blips of the starter or open throttle. anything other than hot, straight of the button. [<<edit/update]

stock filter
NGK cr9e[K]
102 main jets
ported and gas flowed
13:1 compression
44, 000 km's

basically will not start off the button when hot

I suspect this is just increased friction on the starter gear due to incorrect gasket (combination of cereal packet and mank) on the alternator cover.

ordered a new gasket, will see!

Can we start listing if you have carb heaters? Or if you have already posted edit your post. Youll know carb heaters as there will be a tube that links from the pipe by the genny cover upto the carbs and then out the other side and back into the engine block.

looks like this, see the green bottle type thing? Thats the tube thats routes coolant to the carbs to heat them up.
