Hi there just need a little help if possible.
Well yesterday i was driving my zxr with no problems, then it started to poor down, still no problems for at least 20-30 mins of being in the rain. Then i go to pull away from a set of lights and as i drive away my entire bike started jolting uncontrolably and the rev counter jumping all over the place was a freaky and quite frankly unnerving experience, my hands almost come off the bars it was jolting that harshly! The clutch was fully released and everything and the bike was at about 2 n half k revs before it started to happen. Decided to head home before anything serious happened and all the way back it did the same, stalled it couple times trying to pull away and then all the way down the a38 it was jolting. Havent been back out on it yet so not sure if its still doing it but is there any chance the rain could have caused this? (first time i've been out on it in such heavy rain) has anyone else had this experience and/or now how to fix it?

thanks in advance.

god knows what that is, its possible that water has got in somewhere and causing you electrical problems. Try and keep it somewhere dry to dry out and see how you go. If you still get some problems it might be a good idea to go round the loom and check all the connectors for any signs of water as a starting point.

definitely sounds like water ingress, could be the HT leads shorting in the damp?
