i used castrol r4 fully synth, most use a semi though I think. I will next time. filter is a hi-flo pattern, pads are the cheapest i can find, fluid the easyest i can get hold of without going to town, which tends to be rock oil round here

I've been using Rock oil semi-syn Sigma it's called seems ok so far

I always use original Kawasaki oil filters I'd never trust anything else.

I like original Kawasaki brake pads they last forever and give great feel and have never faded with heavy use ( I race my 400s)

I use a Mobil dot 4 brake fluid cos I got 12 litres of it for free seems fine no problems with it..............
cos it was free I change it every other race

£34 a litre :smt017

I get mine from a place that deals mostly in motocross and trails bikes

If that really is the price your paying per litre then it would be worth my while selling it to you via post

OEM filters ..

I use whatever oil I happen to have.

Just lately its been 0w40 Group IV "Genuine PAO Formulated Synthetic" Amsoil.

Changed every year or 6, 000 miles. I ride through winter and cold starting is a major wear factor on my bikes over the years ..
0w40 is still a 40 weight oil when hot and much better than 10 weight when cold in a peformance engine ..

I believe the ZXR runs best on Semi-synth 10w40 and thats strongly recommended by everyone I know with older bikes.

That said, I have done 20, 000 miles on my ZZR1100 C3 using Amsoil and its burned less off and runs smoother and a LOT COOLER than with traditional semi. Cold starts are also much improved with less knocking and rattling all round.

How the oil film on bearings and rockers etc plays out with the thinner synthetic oil is debatable, won't know really until it pops ...

With machines that have seperate gearboxes and dry or no clutch (like my CVT Vespa) I use the Amsoil and basically never change it! There's nothing to stress or work the oil in these engines overly and a true synthetic will last forever..
