I very much doubt you would see much difference in a photo.
Just now mine are all in one piece and ready for the weekend so for now I've not got a picture

ill take one of mine but its an H1 if that helps?

I'm not 100%, but I would imagine your H1 is radically different from my H2
in that area, so a photo would be a help, cheers.

across h and l yes, but stated earlier was h1 and h2, how i read it anyway

It's done!!!! New cam chain in, and engine started and running without any hideous
grinding and crunching of valves etc.
On the subject of doing it with the engine in or out, I managed the change with the
engine still in the frame. What made it really easy, was the timing marks on both
sides of the cam sprockets, just like Zimm said. I've came across some naff designs
on the zxr, but whoever decided to mark both sides was right on the money.

hmm, not done a camchain yet, might do it on the H1 motor when I come back from holiday, or I might fix the L3 motor - and probably do it on that at the same time.

Either way, having had the engine out of the bike now, I'd definitely drop it out again to do that. A couple of extra hours is well worth the reduction in stress from trying to do any head work in the frame. :smt013

I think if you've had the engine out, and are confident doing it, then it's a piece of
piss. The last engine I dropped was from an old RD200, and I could hold the engine
virtually with one arm. Dropping the ZXR's engine seemed like a bigger job, that I
would avoid if I could.

you wanna try it with my gix1100 motor! out is easy, back in aint so easy

On the subject of the GSXR, I was looking at the pics of the completed
bike. Are there any pics from the back? Wanted to see what that mental
tail section looks like in yout slipstream.
