stock 1993 L dyno run

Post by SeattleZXR »

Ran my L3 on a Dyno to check A/F mix. It's got stock pilots and 95 mains. The A/F mix is showing I should put 100 mains in it to have proper mix. Came up with 55hp

55bhp is good for a stock 22 year old bike. That's probably what it left the factory with

I think Kawasaki claimed 59hp but that was probably at the crank. Mine does have a Wr's slip on on it but I don't know how much of an advantage that gives.

No, they claimed 65ps, probably at the crank. Not wishing to urinate on your strawberries but personally I think 55 rwhp is rather on the low side. See my chart here viewtopic.php?f=168&t=13065. I reckon you are down by at least 5hp there.

Depends on the Dyno machine you use. Some show higher numbers than others. I'd be surprised if yours has more than mine if we ran them on the same Dyno.

power losses from crank to rear wheel on a bike are about 15%, that equates to 65ps crank being 55bhp rear wheel...which most peoples bikes seem to come out at.

Looks pretty good to me. If mine has 55rwhp I will be happy with that.. dyno time on the list..
