Hello,

My name is Lee and I work as forum and owners club consultant for Bikesure Insurance and I'm pleased to say that we have teamed up with ZXRWorld.

We are able to offer members of the forum upto 25% discount on their insurance policies through ourselves.

As well as this I am also here to offer any advice on insurance, totally impartially. Feel free to ask me any questions about any aspect of insurance, no matter who you're insured with.

If you already have a policy with ourselves then I am here to help with any queries you may have.

Our freephone number is 0800 089 2000, or you can PM me and I can call you.

We offer many different types of insurance, including:

•Limited mileage discounts,
•Multi bike policies,
•Cover for accessories and leathers,
•Agreed value cover,
•Cover for imported bikes,
•Free legal expenses,
•Classic to customised and Trike insurance.

I shall be on here everyday where possible and will respond to all enquiries.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks

Lee

I'm kinda assuming before posting, but I'mma ask anyway, rather ask a dumb question and know than assume it to be right and fail.

I'm taking it that Bikesure is only available in the UK right? I'm looking for insurance, but I'm a bit away from the UK...

just did my insurance 4 days ago, bloody timing, though i could cancel as its within the first 14 days... anyway, insurance question. when i was searching for the cheapest quote i was on bennets and there was the standard question- "is your bike modified from the manufacturers original specification". i clicked on it just to check that there wasnt any weird ones that would catch me out (double bubble screen) and it came up with a list of modifications accepted as standard;
You do not need to notify us of any of the following:
Air Filter Changes
Bar Ends
Braided Hoses
Decals / Stickers (Unless Race Replica)
Disability Adapted
Grippers
Heated Grips
Huggers
Lights / Indicators / Mirrors
Scott Oilers
Screen Changes
Seat Cowl / Single Seat Units
Seat Replacement / Changes
Sissy Bars (Long Backrest)
Tail Tidy
Tank Pads

is this just bennets or is that a list of modifications in the insurance world which will not put up your premium? Also premiums change depending on age, is this done in full years? i was comparing quotes a couple of weeks ago and when i checked after my birthday the price seemed to drop suddenly. was this because i turned 19 or just a price fluctuation? thanks

Hi,

The mods will differ from company to company, although the only one from list that I can see sometimes affecting a price is an air filter. None of those mods would make a difference with ourselves on most of our schemes. Its always best to check with actual company if you have any mods though just to avoid any unwanted hassle in the future.

The age thing does go in full years. Although there can be a price fluctuations on a daily basis, age would make more a difference.

If you would like me to give you a quote within the 14 days, give me a shout.

Cheers

Lee

If Ross asks you for a qoute, do NOT ask him about roundabouts.

Mods to a ZXR400, as if.

I'm currently with Bikesure, best insuance company about, absolutely first class, can I have a retrospective 25% off now please, or to make things simpler, lets agree on 50% off next year.

lee, i took out a bikesure policy for my zxr400 commuter, and fzr1000 fighter on this day last month...any chance of a small-backdated rebate?

25% would be almost a hundred quid, if it was only £20-30 i wouldnt be bothered...but thought i would ask.

PM seems to be semi-working, so if you can PM me and then tell me that you have sent it on here i can see if i can see the PM. cheers

Hi,

I don't seem to be able to PM either at the minute. I'll keep trying.

I will pm you when they are working again, depending on the discount might be worth it, though can you get a refund if you've paid in full?
