New from Germany

Hi,
I'm from germany (but I'm dutch) and I just bought this ZXR:
I haven't collected it yet, will do so next weekend. Only took it for a test ride and immediately wanted it. It's only done 18000miles so far, is completely original apart from the indicators and the polished rims and seems to be in good condition.
I was looking for something similar to my KR1S, but also less fragile. The ZXR seems the perfect bike. For longer distances (holiday in the UK) I also got a GPZ900R.
I joined this forum as I prefer UK forums over german ones and I tend to spend all my holidays in the UK, so I'd like to meet some fellow UK ZXR owners ...

Hi Charles,
Welcome to the forum - that does indeed look very clean and low Kms too !
Afraid you wont be running into me anytime soon unless you like long cruises
All the best,
MM!

So, after 4 years I'm finally back here......
Had to sell my old ZXR400 due to unforeseen circumstances
and haven't had the money since to buy another one.
3weeks ago I stumbled upon a dutch ZXR400 with a damaged engine and my offer of 450euros was accepted
Collected the bike and when I tried to start it it did but it made a horrible noise....
I then found a cheap (200euros) spare engine some 60miles from here and after fitting it the bike started started up immediately, running fine.
Took it for a short blast, what a great bike this is
It now hopefully will pass the TUV-test this Friday so I can register it in my name.
Will post some pics of it the next few days. Would love to take it to the UK on my next UK holiday in 2016.

Here finally a pic of my new bike:
It's not mint but for 600euros it's a real bargain, I suppose
It passed the TUV-test on Friday effortlessly.

And now I know why the old engine was that noisy:

Three's a crowd
My daughter (20yr) and son (18yr) now also got their own ZXR400,
both didn't want any other bike
