Hi all,
Just like to introduce myself to you all, cos I've just joined.
I have just nicely become the owner of a Zxr400H, you may have seen it on ebay (no tank or fairings but recently powder coated) & for the first time in ages, Its actually a lot better than was advertised, doesn't happen very often on ebay! Anyway, I'm right made up.
I've never owned a Zxr400 before, up until about two years ago I had its big bro, a Zxr750 H1, that was a beast, very nervy at low speed, lovely when it was flying.
My current bike is a 1989 Kr1 250 (I love two stroke bikes

) I am also semi restoring/modding a 1991 Kr1s 250.
Anyway, happy to be here, hope you don't mind if I ask lots of daft questions, cos I have just bought a 'bike in a box', yep I know, i know but hey.......
That's all for now

Ok, lets see if I can do this (second attempt)...............
Ok, erm..... that'll do I think, not sure why I have [url] either side
As you can see, the previous owner has had the frame/swing arm & wheels powder coated, pretty good job too.
Does seem to be a trend for satin black frames, looks alright though.
It has a Hagon shock, which also looks fairly recent, along with a new chain & sprockets. All I am missing is the fairings, possibly go after market for these.
Unfortunately ARD don't list a fairing for the H model so I may have to go elsewhere, skidmarx possibly but I don't know what quality skidmarx fairings are?
ARD are good solid items.
I have a complete engine (running apparently?) & the original engine, which requires a rebuild so the plan is to get the bike on the road as soon as, then rebuild the original engine to go back in to keep matching numbers etc. It also came with a good solid exhaust system with a oval scorpion can (are scorpion alright? I'm more used to producers of two stroke end cans)
Its all good fun

Yeppers, i edited your post to remove the un-need [url] tags.
No need to apologise dude. Glad you got it sorted.
Might be worth throwing up a thread in the "Showcase showdown & your build threads" section documenting your progress.
Make sure you take loads and loads of pics.

Hi,
Skorpion are the company which is nowadays known as Akrapovic. So yes, you could say their exhausts are 'alright'

.
