Hi all I’m Danny 17. I'm a mechanical engineer apprentice and I love it! I am so interested in cars and bikes have a 1.2 Clio great run about especially in the bad weather lol and had a moped year and half. Did my bike license just before Christmas (before the bike laws got really bad) and passed mod 1&2 first time I have been motor crossing a few times so was use to gears on a bike.
Spent a few days going back and forth looking at this ZXR, I fell in love the first day I saw it. It's got a few problems but nothing major needs new fork seals, chain and sprockets, oil change and filter. Just needs a good service really that's all, engine sounds lovely, slight ticking noise until I pull the clutch in so must be in the gear box. Is this a normal for the ZXR's or maybe needs a gearbox overhaul? I paid £950 for it and asking price was £1250 so I think I've done well haha, it's got a lot of service history and only 17k miles which I thinks low for the price. (I have a feeling it may have been a track bike since I got given a box full of spares and there was allsorts in it, so a previous owner has had it in pieces haha)
The bike is restricted to 33hp and will be until I'm no longer restricted! It is now my baby and love it so much haha. Any useful advice anyone can give me?
