Hello

Post by jons »

Hello,

Just bought a pair of broken L9s on impulse, hoping to make one track bike out of them. I almost bought one new in 1998, but ended up with a Firestorm instead and it's taken until now to get one, well two.

Anyway, one has 29k miles, a bent front end and wiring all over the place. The other has 40k miles and oil leaking from everywhere. They both have messy bodywork and bolts missing all over the place. I'm told both engines are seized, but they both turn ok on the starter motor so I'll bolt the important bits back together, apply some fuel and see what happens!

So far I've found answers to everything I've wanted to know on this forum, but no doubt I'll need advice over the next few months as I try to get one ready for some trackdays in the spring.

Thanks,

Jon
