Newbie, and looking for a bike

Hi all, thought id sign up here to find any information im looking for before I get my first bike. Decided im after a 400 sports, so straight away wanted a zxr, or a cbr400 and found 2 zxr's local to me, one a 98 with 12k, just had a thermostat done and mot, its original fairngs but all a bit tatty and ideally needing replaced, but its an honest bike nothings hidden with a respray or new fairings, and the 2nd one is a 93, with 12k again, owner says its never been resprayed but it doesn't look like original, where can I find what original colours were? this one is all green, with a glossy black frame, and the lower section of the fairings are black. Ive read the normal buying guides on these bikes, but what sort of prices are people expecting to pay for them? The first one is 1500 and the 2nd one is 1000, although it does need some more done to it, thanks all
