Hello Fellas (and ladies?),
Just joined the ZXR junkies by getting myself a 1993 750 L1, in the 'girly' (My wifes' words, not mine!) purple/pink/black. Always thought these looked the business, and saw one on fleabay just before xmas, which cost me a grand. Have bought a pig-in-a-poke though, as what was described as having a 'crack in the fairing' really meant excessive damage. The makers of JB Weld are about to see their share price rocket!
Would have posted a pic if I'd thought about it before registering on the forum, but got tearing into it, to assess what needs to be done before I have to go back to work. The fairing panels might be the least of my problems, judging by the amount of oily cack in the bellypan area, and the gallon or two of oil in there. Hey Ho!
Luckily, I've still got something to ride while I set about it, if the weather improves. For my sins, I also have a 1997 Trident 900, a 2002 Sprint RS 955i, and a 1997 TL1000s that cost me 6 points and £215 the first time out, taking it for the MOT, last april. Bloody mad thing it is!
