new wiring loom

Post by jacko5 »

Hi All :smt006
I am currently in my second year of racing my ZX400L and looking into getting a new wiring loom made up, can anybody point me in the right direction and what kind of cost I would be looking at, thanks in advance Jack

A race loom will just be the essential wires, so why not make your own loom? Vehicle Wiring Products (0115 9305454) in Derbyshire can supply any colour coded wire you need. Just use the connectors from the existing loom, or splash out on some new ones.
Banner did an excellent coloured display for reducing the standard loom to a race loom:

Save yourself some money and understand your bike better.

cheers :D

yes you can just cut your existing loom, its a bit messier that way, but its the simplest, as for making a new one, your probably looking at £50 in wire and parts (except the battery cables...now i wonder who makes sets of those...?)
