If you check the electrics section I've got the full colour H1 and L model wiring diagrams there.
What you will need to make is some small bridging wires to go from your H loom to the L CDI...it's not a straight swap...if you want it to be plug and play then you need a L loom as well as the L CDi.
An easier swap would be a kmh to mph Speedo converter drive m and p sell them on eBay for £35...though you will need to check that the threads are the same...this will then make your kph speedo into a mph one...hence the 180kph (now 180mph) limit will never be breached.

Ah, thought as much that a simple CDI swap may not work.
Thanks for the info. I've ordered the converter from M&P, probably a few days before it arrives, but I can try and clean up my KM/H speedo in the meantime then.
