hello to all my fellow zxr400 owners, i have owned my 91 L model for three years, i initially bought it for track days (i also have a z1000) but loved riding it so much that i taxed/insured it and put it on the road up until early this year when i turned it back into a track bike, but am planning to get a daytime mot for next year so i can ride it more.
will be stripping it down this winter and getting the wheels powder coated black, tank sprayed green, fitting braided hoses, new black levers, polishing the swingarm (might do the frame as well) and replacing all the tarnished bolts and fasners with new...
newbie says hello

you don't live in nottingham do you? I see a bright orange z1000 most days, and I'm sure there can't be that many in that colour running around!

Nah mate, live in ipswich suffolk (tractor boy) zed is a blast to ride, litrally, wind protection is minimal at over a ton, but apart from that a fantastic bike, got rid of the orig nasty mirrors & jacked her up at the back, also, note lack of plate hanger......he he, thats how the make em officer...honest
