Just got back from picking the bike up and its f**king raining, been for a little ride (not got a lid yet) so it was a very small ride but f**k me she is quick. My friend that tested the bike for me said he had 110 in 4th and the bloke I bought the bike off said it has been dyno at 68bhp. The bike is a 1995 m reg 19834miles recent new tyres, brake pads, chain & sprokets and cam chain, service about 300 miles ago, 12 months MOT was up for £1400 i paid £1200

Now the Q is should I restrict it to 33bhp remember i've never rode a bike before?

68bhp is pretty bloody healthy for a ZXR400, has he got dyno charts? I do believe there is a correction factor or something that has to be considered.

Restrict it? Make your own, chances are you wont need to provide a certificate and when you feel you know the bike a bit more take them out :smt001

Took the bike out this morning borowed a lid off a friend and i think i will restrict her. Because to me it feels like i'm trying to tame 1of satan's satanic hell hounds It's very hard to take it easy all i want to do is open her up.
Like it has been said it's the high rev's that put's a smile on ur boat race.

i wouldnt worry about it mate, ive only had a couple of goes on mine and you get used to it. Just be sensible and dont open it up too much until you get used to it.

I always wana open it up but need to resist, plus i dont want brown trousers lol
