Welcome to the site
When you get the bike, have a good look round it and check everything, oil, brakes, lights, tightness of bolts etc etc. Even if you have had a look at the bike before buying, you'll be amazed at stuff you find after you get it home and can look around a your leisure.
There is a service manual on the website which will tell you everything about the bike, like suspension settings ( I always put mine back to standard and work from there) oil type, and loads more. Get to know the bike as much as you can.
Find some mates to ride with. You can learn a lot (make sure they aren't the type that just wanna race you and show you how good they are :wanker ) Some good friends on a bike with experience will help you improve quick and safe.
Get out to bike meets as soon as you can!! and treat every car driver as an idiot and you should be alright.
Ride safe,
