There seems to be more and more members appearing that are racing the ZXR400 so i've created a special section just for you to show off results, discuss meets etc etc.

Chain lengths

Post by deviant »

I'm sticking this in here since I guess you racing types are more likely than most to know the answer.

I'm changing my final drive gearing from standard to 14/47. I'm guessing this will mean I need a slightly longer than standard chain. Can anyone confirm how many links is about right for this gearing.

Ta.

A standard chain length will go up to 14 > 48 no probs.
Pass anything except a magnet.

ahh well, i've finally actually got chain and sprockets in 14/47 and borrowed a chain riveter from a guy at work (actually some of you guys might know him, guy called Dave Scott, races an RVF in sb400), so might actually get round to fitting it this wknd.
