Darley Moor 18th June....

There seems to be more and more members appearing that are racing the ZXR400 so i've created a special section just for you to show off results, discuss meets etc etc.

Darley Moor 18th June....

Post by kris-cross »

While i was near Derby at the weekend visiting relatives i thought it would be a good chance to have a look at the Darley Moor circuit in view to doing the N.G round there later in the year. And as luck would have it there was a meeting on. Nice little circuit and very well run. What a sight i witnessed! a zxr 400 in bright green with sum funky bodywork on going like an absolute missile. It? he? (not in the programme) won both f400 races by a mile and then went on to trounce the lightweight 400 runners which included gp 250's. Rumours were banding about the paddock about having to have it stripped and measured but i had to go and never saw the outcome. Anyone saw? heard? or know who this is?

Seen a few lads do 1m02`s (Leo Aldersley to name one )so it was a good lap, done 1m05`s myself, few years ago mind on a CBR400 52bhp in roadstock trim. :smt001
So with todays ultra tuned bikes & the new surface to paddock corner since I last raced there it is well possible.

Not quite the truth that Chris :smt017 Richard Jarrold is still the fastest 'Roadstocker 400' at 1m 7.47 and 52bhp is a very reserved figure.
Mike Saunders was the man on a mission at the weekend Kriss 1m 01.46 to be exact not as quick as Leo yet but since his last time there was sept 03 not bad.

Roger Middleton(RMKD Racing) sponsor of Mike Saunders ex sponsor of Richard Jarrold.

Hey up Roger, hows it going, as i do not have it in print i can not veryfy it but Cathy had me down as a late 1m 5s in the second race on the sunday of the first meeting in 99 that I won after I was the only one to get past the 600 that was messing us about, but as for the 52bhp on my CBR yes my slip up it was 62bhp, sorry :smt009
