It is real that the M letter ECU is better than the L letter ECU?
I read that the redline in M is 14500rpm and no top speed limit, it is correct?
Any advise is help.
Thanks,
Andreas

I am also interested in this type of C.D.I....
We had an electrical issue at Brands yesterday, and (among 10 other things :smt013 ) we changed the C.D.I. to a spare. By the end of the day, we had used 2 blue C.D.I.'s with the letter "L" on the sticker, and another blue C.D.I. which had the letter "M".
We forgot which one, but my brother was sure that the bike would rev through the red line with one of these C.D.I.'s fitted ! Is it likely that one of the boxes has a higher limit ( I also have C.D.I.'s with a red sticker, and one with a yellow sticker, but these limit the revs noticeably) - Or has it been modded by someone ( like Roger does ?) ?
Answers on a postcard.....

I think red letter is A, i have one of this in my H model.
L letter is the 90% of the CDI that use the ZXR 400, because the Japan Market to restrict the 180Khm.
M letter i think the only different is Khm restrict.
But....I want a CDI that revs really to 15300+.
What we can do?
Rev limiter is a 2 edge knife for the engine life, the valves is design to run so many rpm's and the spring valves are quick to restore the valve
to avoid valve-piston (romance)?
So, If anyone can modificate the CDI to run 15300+ please p.m

http://www.ignitech.cz/english/aindex.htm
you want a 2ch tcip4 and tell them whether its for an L or an H (affects the loom adaptor supplied)
cheap, programmable, reliable ..
job done.
of the stock ones, for an L you want a 21119-1332 M (uk spec) as stated in previous posts. iirc, 14,800rpm limit, no speed restriction circuit
i have some kit ones for an H .. 21119-1296 i think.. they're better...(15,200rpm limit, different advance curve, need kit rotor) I dont use them though

Because I am not a tuner
I dont know to proggram the Ignitech one, can some one send me an email with a kit map?
My specs is
Gas flow head skimmed.
Kit Pistons
Stock cams (try to find SP but nothing yet...)
Dynojet carbs
Stock airbox with free flow filter
Full exhaust custom system copy kit.
I am plan to order the 2CH TCIP4 Ignitech cdi, and as said above need a map.
All the best,
Andreas

Why don't you use a RAM airbox? This will give you more power for sure
