Re: 0.5 Rings Needed
Fella, +.5mm are few and far between nowadays and in some cases non existent.
You will have to go down the route of +1mm rings but you will need +1mm pistons aswell, similary as you'd need +.5mm pistons for +.5mm rings and standard rings for standard pistons.......and you'll also need your cylinder re-bored +1mm.
Tts-Performance.co.uk is your best bet and the pistons and rings are about £150 each...oweeeee

Hi guys
Thanks for the replies.
I have the .5 pistons already and can only go down this route as its for a race engine and .5 is max that I can go up to.
I'll pm Mori.
Cheers

Dont know what regs you run but because they dont make .5mm anymore clubs will allow you to run 1mm. They will at the Manx Grand Prix.
Because yams run 1mm and ZXR's dont do .5mm anymore it was seen as being.........................unfair

Thanks for that Jonesy.
I'm hoping to do Irish roads and Southern next year, must admit was going by old rules so didn't know they let you use 1mm oversize.
Mori Man maybe able to get me a set which would save having to buy 1mm oversize pistons, but if he fails and its ok to use them in Ireland then I'll source some 1mm ones.
Cheers

It may be worth ringing Roger Middleton, to see what he uses in his .5mm oversize engines....

Roger uses standard bore and stroke in his bikes as you can't rev the larger bore pistons up as quick.
