There seems to be more and more members appearing that are racing the ZXR400 so i've created a special section just for you to show off results, discuss meets etc etc.

Killalane and Scarborough Gearing

Post by Deswilkie »

Hi All, stuck an entry in for Killalane and was hoping that some on here would know the gearing. Can anyone recommend what (ball park) gearing to run at Killalane with a standard box?

Same question for Scarborough.

Cheers

Hi
For Killalane I use 14/47 or 48.

Cheers Stuart - hope it is going well for you on the Island

From the ManxGP site I read that Cargo has an ankle injury. Bad luck if that him out - hope it is not too bad

Thanks for that, sadly bike having teething problems so not done a full lap yet.

Saw Cargo couple days ago. He has a broken lower leg & wrist injury,so he is out, sadly, but seemed in good spirits, despite being taken out by a newcomer.

See you at killalane, all being well.

Checked with a few folk re Killalane and general gearing seems to be 15/46 (which is what's still on it from Armoy) so I'll just go with that and see how it goes.

Stuart what power are you putting out? The gearing you're running will give better drive but lower top end speed. Mine is sitting about 74bhp at the rear wheel.

Hi Des
Sadly mine is way off what you are putting out,so what you suggest is probably better for a tuned engine.
See you there.
