the black Z CDi's are European H1 CDi's...as to what country i dont know, a call to kawasaki UK with the full code (usually starts 21119- for CDi's) might shed some light on it...but i doubt it.

its proably restricted (if it was unrestricted someone would have mentioned it before), so no different to the red A box i suspect...take it for a spin and see what it can pull to, you will get one of 3 readings:-
1) never goes above 10k RPM in any gear
2) doesnt go above 180kph/110mph
3) full power does 120mph+

Hi guys,
I think i recently saw a SP CDI but I´m not quite sure as the numbers don´t match 100% with what I read here... It´s a mitsubishi igniter with a yellow dot above the right input and '21119-1342' on it. Below this there are those codes: 'J4103672' and '3Z03'.

Needless to say that I bought it :D Have I wasted my money or is it a real Sp one? Can I fit it on a L-Modell without changing the loom (but with the sp-rotor)?

Thank you in advance ;)

Looks like an M model (i.e. the SP version of the L road bikes) CDi, flip it over, does it have 3673 stamped on the back usually underneath the ousing for the pins, if not what does it have there?

the j2 SP models use a special CDi and pickup rotor, im not sure about the M SP models the 1 and 2, do you have an SP bike with carbs with a TPS sensor on them? if not i would store it away as someone might pay top dollar for it (not the usual £30 for a normal CDi).

as far as i know you wont see much difference with or without a SP CDi, unless you have a TPS sensor, then it can at least meter fuel slightly differently depending on throttle position, its only the F3 kit versions that have a raised rpm level as standard.

It says 3672 below on the bigger output. What I read here this should be open/ full power? I ride cvk carbs without tps on my bike so if I can't find the rotor to fit it I'll probably sell it here. Do you have an idea how much it's worth?

ok, i think its an F3 kit CDi which are really rare, i would drop Mori Man a line first, he might want it or know of someone who wants it.

your best bet will probably be to just fit a blue M CDi to your bike and sell the F3 one, the F3 raises the rev ceiling, but if you havnt sorted the bottom of your engine all you will do if you keep going over-rev is stretch your conrods and f*** the engine, i would assume (but dont know) that it uses a kit timing rotor as well, MM is your best bet, drop him a PM.

If it is a f3 kit one I´d rather try to fit it then sell it :excited
Bottom end and head work will be done next year so it won´t f*** my enginge up instantly. At least I hope so lol but if it revs till 16,200 it´s probably not that healthy... Blue M one is what I have right now. On our german bikes this is standard as far as I know.

Well I left Mori Man a message this morning and I´m excited about his answer...

Also if they don't match, what is the outcome? Will it run but not rev out or similar?

Anyone shed any light on a supposed zxr 400 cdi with three input/outputs and part number 21119-1394?
