As far as I am aware that is the F3 spec CDI as the SP road version has 3673 stamped in that location. This ignition would have come in the race kit. there is not a huge amount of variation between the two unless it was a special kit version from the factory.

Was just looking through some parts and found a harness I bought a couple years ago with an "N" CDI. I'll shoot a photo and post it up soon. Would "N" be an SP cdi?

Yup, exactly what I have done. Need a speed restriction off box or by-pass to stop.

With no signal the CDI will also rev restrict to 10K RPM giving you a top speed of 112mph in 6th gear !

The H should have been restricted to 112 / 180kph anyhow unless the old speedo had been messed with OR you already have a de-restriction box on it (you can derestrict it either way)?

Have a look by the speedo, theres a plug that connected to your old speedo, is this free now and unconnected?

Finally got around to shooting a pic of the "N" model. I was told it was an SP model ecu when I bought it. Can anyone confirm?

All L model SP bikes have the Mitsubishi box in them , this N one is NLA

J1 SP uses same box as a H1
J2 SP uses your CDI with pulsar 21007-1189 (same as all H/J models & L models)

I imagine the only difference being is it has a circuit for the TPS signal for the FCRs on the J2 , only " Kit " CDIs have an extended redline

Sorry for reviving a old thread. Would I be able to fit any CDI to my zxr400? I have a H model but the single seat one with the flatslide carbs. CDI is missing...
