L upgrade - suspension/wheels

Post by Mori Man »

Just noticed that the ZX9R uses the same headstock bearings as the L so the front end will be a straight drop in job :smt004
Depending on fork length you might need to drop them slightly to match original rake/trail.

You can also use ZXR750 front and rear set up too !

Be warned these are coveted for ZRX11/1200 conversion so prices might be high!

I also have a photo (or two) of the ZX9R rear wheel fitted up in a L swingarm - there appears to be no additional spacer work involved, this puts you up to a 5.5" rim and coupled with the front end gives a perfect match :smt004 :smt004

MM!
Nothing worse than having an H and not being able to scratch it !

I know its an old thread, but hopefully if Mori Man pops in, he'll see and answer. Which year zx9r? And also is it just a straight drop in? Which parts compromise the "front end"? And so a zx9r wheel fits with no mods? Sweet

If the weight loss is significant, then just less weight

I think mick is saying the only thing you will gain is weight, as in more of it.
