why not does fuel not come through onece the engine has been turned off? i always thought it would flood the engine with petrol.

all twisting the throttle does is open the butterfly valves in the carbs, allowing more air to flow through them. it's the air flowing through that causes fuel to come out. unless your engine is turning over, air isn't going to flow through the carbs whatever you do to the throttle.

also the suction of the piston as it travels to bottom dead centre, thats what causes the air to move int he first place, so as quite rightly stated, opening the throttle will do nothing unless the engine is running.

Tescos Redditch have actually put some cones up blocking the spaces.
I've got some pics.
So they've kind-of spoilt the fun!
I suppose it's still worth setting this up to put pressure on drivers and stores that don't police their bike parking areas....

Yes, it does seem like they've 'taken note'!
The security were getting to know my face quite well every time I went in there and said I'd blocked a car in though!

Off on a tangent slightly, I confronted some old fart who decided to park in a parent and pram space the other day. He hung his head and hurriedly scurried into the supermarket, cheeks ablaze with embarrassment.
Guilt. Excellent.
