went out last night and must of picked up a puncture...went to the bike as normal for work, straddled it as you do, took it off the stand, rolled it back about a foot and all the weight shifted left....fortunately mums car was there to stop it going over but its scratched her car AND cracked and scuffed the paint on my single seat that i only fitted last night after collecting it from painters.

as you can guess, i was rather pissed off this morning.

now i need to find somewhere that will fit a part worn for me, nowhere ive asked so far will touch part worns....and i also need to find away of getting the frotn wheel off the ground so i can get the fucker off.

any hints lol

bastrd, it looked a nice job that too.
you got any exposed beams in the garage you could throw a rope over? hoop it around the bottom yoke, or headstock

dont go part worn. just my advice. the money is better spent on a spanky one. as for the front end, i remove the side fairings , get a block of wood and a trolley jack , under the sump and lift. only needs to be off the ground a few mm. take the front mudguard off to make it easier. ( i know the exhaust is in the way so stick the jack at the collector part and tug away )

ps . chock the rear wheel and make sure the sidestand is down ;)

i wouldnt butcher a front wheel like that

decided not to have my rear professionally repaired too, cuz i like my fast corners and realised that it would always b in my head "what if the repair blows out" so i replaced tyre. was extra pissed cuz had onky done 500 odd mile on it :smt013

when it comes to tyres, just put your hand in your pocket

most garages won't touch part worn tyres because once they've a fitted a tyre they are liable for it.

some will some wont, place i use will fit anything as long as its got legal tread and balance it up for about £5..

which is handy given the number of puncture's Emma has picked up since we've been down here in wales .. i've almost got through my stack of part worns :)
